My name, Alejandro Chávarro. The one behind Vinhos Livres.

A Career built through France and Spain. Out of a few kitchens, I discovered and ended up dedicating my work to Restaurant Service and precisely The World of Wine.

As a Sommelier, I have had the opportunity to Work in great Restaurants such as Mugaritz (2*) in San Sebastian, Lucas Carton (2*) in Paris, Quique Dacosta (3*) in Dénia, Hotel du cap Eden roc in Antibes…

As Chef Sommelier and Restaurant Manager, I Built and composed the Cellars of new restaurants in Paris such as Agapé Substance , Restaurant David Toutain (1*) and Le Gabriel (2*) at Hôtel La Réserve.

Since 2015, I have been in charge of the Wine Program at Astrance (3*) in Paris. A place dedicated to custom-made pairings between outstanding recipes and unique wines.


My new adopted Binational life has led me to open a new door in Portugal for great winemakers from France and the World, with whom I have worked for several years, and be part of the actual Portuguese Wine Scene.

The Growing Portuguese Gastronomy has many actors today and a whole new dynamism!

The Portuguese Wine World is also growing and mutating towards a new vision of their work, their identity and the quality of their Terroirs and Patrimony.

After longtime discovering and giving out to the World, I believe, it is time that Portugal receives the greatest things, in this case, that the World of Wine has to offer.
