A 14ha Family Estate, wine growing since 1687. Based in Oeuilly, inside of La Vallée de la Marne, this Domaine has been part of the expansion of Champagne. Today the Three last Generations lead the Domaine: Mélanie, Benoît and Jean-Mary their father, whose experience has made of him a leader in all that matters concerning respect for, and the protection of, the environment. We are very proud to represent their long History and to spread their work with their extremely precise wines!
In the heart of Les Riceys, the southern part of Champagne, Olivier Horiot has been making since 2004 a great series of vintage Champagnes looking for long agings and the uniqueness of his terroirs through Pinot Noir mainly and 6 other varieties among which old varieties. He's a Great translator of the potential of The Riceys not only with his Champagne but also with his still Wines. I have followed his work for many years and i am totally convinced of his potential and the uniqueness of quality and deepness of his Wines!
Based in Vertus and leading an entire change in the Family estate since 1993. Pascal and Laure Doquet managed to establish on their Own since 2004. Convinced defenders of Organic viticulture, Pascal has been leading for many years this movement in Champagne. The first wines I ever tasted from a Small Champagne Grower about 10 years ago and since then i have been following his Work!
In The heart of Trepail, are settled the 3ha farmed Organically and Biodynamically by David Léclapart. A strong believer on this type of viticulture that has been doing so since 1996 when he took over. His Wines are delicate and subtile as himself. Such a kind, generous and precise winemaker, elaborating in his small Family Estate extremely vibrant wines! I thank David, Carole and their Sons to be so supportive and we are delighted to bring soon to Portugal, a few of his Champagnes and also some of his new adventure in the south of Spain... Cyril and Clémence Jeaunaux since 1999 have kept the family estate created by Cyril's parents since 1971. Talus Saint Prix, one hour south of Reims and north of Sézanne, is the village where is settled the Domaine with around 5ha and focused today on organic viticulture. Pinot Meunier is one of their great varieties well adapted to the Vallée du Petit Morin. Loyal partner for so long, i am delighted to bring you their vision of extremely elegant Wines of Champagne from this discreet Terroir!
Following the 5th generation of growers, Aurélien Suenen declined his passion for basketball and moved back to the Family Estate and started from scratch his new journey as a Winemaker. Since 2009, he took over the Estate looking for a totally clean viticulture and since 2014 the whole winemaking process is heading towards a great purity and identity of his wines. One of the few young Winemakers that made clear breach in La Côte des Blancs with his parcels in Cramant and Oiry!
Champagne Emmanuel Brochet
Only 2,5 ha represent Emmanuel's Vineyard. He was lucky to take over this Parcel of the Mont Benoit, planted with the 3 main Varieties by his father. Since 1998 he slowly started to age his first few bottles. Today, 20 years have gone along, and Emmanuel is making some of the most elegant organic wines in this side of the South of Reims. An extremely small production (7000-8000 bottles) so it is such a Joy to be able to bring a few cases to Portugal!
Athénaïs de Béru, a brilliant and endearing winemaker. One of a kind, Athénaïs, against all odds chose to drop her initial carrer, move back to her family Estate. Learned and took over the Vineyards starting from scratch the Winemaking of this beautiful Terroirs of Chablis planted by her father around 1987. Since 2006 she has started to bring out the different identities of her Terroirs with a strong will and clear vision of a fully Organic and Biodynamic Estate. Extremely precise on understanding the pruning, the natural biodiversity and enhance the depth of her wines with long agings. Such and incredible Joy to be able to bring you her vision and her outstanding Wines that have something really Unique to discover in the very well known site of Chablis!
François de Nicolaÿ, passionate about Wine and its diversity. An extremely generous and open minded man, who In 2001 seing the evolution of the Family Estate, decides to take over and move back from Paris to Savigny les Beaune. Today with his sister, they hold the full production of the 13,7ha and look over a biodynamic viticulture since 2005 in the whole estate. A clear example of tenacity and strong vision in a legendary Estate in the heart of Burgundy. François also makes wines in other terroirs in Burgundy where he privileges the organic and biodynamic farming for its sourcing and a very natural winemaking. A great Person and daring winemaker that has taught me a lot and i am delighted to bring his wines over to Portugal
A Family Owned Estate since 1947. Based in Vinzelles, in the South of Burgundy, the Vineyard was spread but started their first vintage bottled in 2000. Then, the adventure started for the Brothers not only for winemaking but also for a full Organic and Biodynamic Viticulture. The Company Bret Brothers Started joint in 2001 to diversify the Terroirs they wanted to produce. 3ha in Beaujolais were bought in 2008. This great Domaine has become a true image of the Terroirs of Pouilly Vinzelles and Pouilly Fuissé but not only! The Bret Team is always looking to perform in their work and in their vision. I am very glad to be able to Bring some of their wines from the South of Burgundy to Portugal!
A story that begins in 1978, and is still maintained today by the two brothers of the Family Patrice and Emmanuel Guillot. They both Took over a Family Estate driven by a clear organic viticulture since 1991 and they've kept this vision and its work since then. They have managed to translate beautifully the Terroirs of the Mâconnais where they are settled. With Legendary Terroirs set for Centuries and beautiful winemaking, i am extremely happy to bring you another great Icon of southern Burgundy which i have followed for many Years, now to Portugal!
Aude and Guillaume Lavollée, since 2008 have started to take over the work done for more than 10 years by Aude's father, François Delaby. A widely extended family Estate built step by step since 1974 and reaching today 22ha. They have started since then to go towards an organic viticulture in order to have a better balance of their vineyard work and a more precise idea of the potential of their Terroirs. The Domaine will be certified organic for harvest 2018 and multiple essays of biodynamic treatments already take place. Their vision and strong will have started to pay off and the wines have become extremely precise in the last few years. Since the vintage 2011 I've followed Guillaume's work and i am very pleased to be able to come to Portugal with some bottles among their 30 denominations.
Domaine Antoine Olivier
Family Estate started in the late 60's. Antoine joined the Estate and started to take over in 2003. A very personal view of regulations and labels, Antoine does not use any chemical products in his vineyard whatsoever, nevertheless does not feel like claiming any type of certification. His wines reflect a beautiful image of the Ancient Terroirs of the Village of Santenay mainly and some other few parcels in neighboring villages. Since 2012 i've followed his work and his wines have remained True, Precise and Elegant. Soon, some of his fun-called cuvées available in Portugal!
A true Icon in the Heart of Volnay. The Lafarge Family Estate existing for more than a century has always been one of the pioneers of its type. First bottled vintage in 1934 by the great great grand father. The estate got out of the traditional Négociant market very quickly and by 1960 all the production was sold in bottle. Pioneers, in 1990 they started converting their vineyard to biodynamic viticulture and by 2000 the whole vineyard was converted. Today there are 3 generations, living, sharing and growing together making some of the most elegant and long lasting Burgundy wines. As Frédéric always says Volnay is about balance, one of the villages having a distinctive elegance, power and length. With the 12 ha, very well divided between 1er Cru, Villages and regional, the Estate has lots to offer! A very recent adventure started between Frederic and Chantal and today the Domaine Lafarge Vial was brought to Life with 4,1ha in the heart of the Beaujolais... This Family, the Wines and their History have always been a true example and image of the greatness and simplicity of this unique and outstanding Winemaking region - La Bourgogne!
2006 was the beginning of Alexandre's Dream! One only project on Organic viticulture accepted by administration in the heart of Pouilly Fumée with 5ha. Alexandre trained in Burgundy and was looking for animal traction and biodynamic viticulture to take care of his vineyard. Since his first vintage 2007, he was not only atypic on his viticultural practices in the region but also in the way of translating the Terroirs of Pouilly Fumé. His Character and convictions were clear and relentless, which provoked by stages a hard time for his Being and his Wines! Even though he managed to improve his Work, his Wines became unique in his region and today a Clear image of his Beliefs and vision of Sauvignon Blanc! Long time working together, it is a Joy to bring his work, his Vision and his Wines to Portugal!
In the Heart of the Loire Valley among the Châteaux de Chambord and Cheverny, is sheltered since 1846 the Gendrier Family. They have started since 1960 to increase the size of the vineyard to attain today 35ha. 7 generations have followed and since 1998 the Domaine is fully certified in Organic and Biodynamic viticulture. Specialized on the ancient Variety Romorantin, this wines and their signature have lasted for long.
Jo Landron, one of the Icons of the Western part of the Loire Valley, Le Muscadet. A family estate set since 1947, taken over by Jo and his dad since 1979. Very sensitive to organic viticulture he starts o take off any chemical use since 1987. About ten years to convert the whole 20ha vineyard and today he has managed to do all his vineyard work in biodynamics since 2011. He is a true pioneer not only in the viticultural side but also on the recognition of the specific Terroirs of the Muscadet. His cuvées have extremely strong images among the lover of Melon de Bourgogne, the local Variety. After following his job for so long and believing in his incredible translation and quality of his Wines.
6 Generations of Winemakers - Antoine takes the lead of the family Domaine since 2002. Over 11 hectares he does a interesting selection of Parcels mainly in Red and just a couple in white a Saumur Blanc. With the Legendary Parcels of the Poyeux, he is one of the living talents of this amazing village and its unique Cabernet Franc. Joy and happiness to be work with Antoine's Wines now in Portugal.
An amazing Couple: Mai from Japan - Kenji from British Columbia. Rablay Sur Layon was the meeting point to start from scratch. After working for many great Loire valley winemakers, their story settled in Loire in 2010 after purchasing their first plot. Today 4ha, beautiful plots and lots of work on the making. François, got back in 2007 to the family roots where his great grand father had the family vineyard. For long sold to the near Co-opeartive, François has started slowly to take over the vineyard work first and certify his full work organically and do some parcel micro-cuvées. In the heart of Nevy sur Seille, a small town in the Vallée des Reculées, his family estate is installed very close to Château Chalon. Today François has been making clearly outstanding oxidative wines with a clear image of moderate and long oxydations that convey as for Chardonnay or Savagnin a beautiful structure after more than 6 years in barrels "sous voile" in his great Grand father's cellar. His master of this aging but also his very precise stil non oxidatives wines have made me a very big follower of his vision of Jura Wines. It is a huge joy to be able to start with him as my first Jura partner. Like after all this years working together i strongly believe on his work and his intention of making this outstanding wines!
Domaine Valentin Zusslin
Since 2000 Marie and Jean Paul Zusslin, have taken over the family Estate in the heart of Orschwhir. Since 1691, the Family has been installed in this Estate and producing wines so far after 13th generations. Based in the Terroirs of Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg and Grand Cru Pfingstberg, their viticultural work fully biodynamic since 1997 has been a crucial item to translate the greatness of this alsacian terroirs and its local varieties. An incredible work and such great people behind this legendary estate in the south of Colmar.
Laszlo, and incredible young winemaker that changed it all to set out a new project starting in 2005 in Tokaji. He has been producing a few cuvées since the beginning looking to improve his viticultural works and mostly have into production his magnificent parcel of Szil-Volgy as well. He has been making great Wines with the local Furmint and Harslevelu. An extremely precautions job in his vineyard working organically and with animal traction and getting great results since the beginning. A true unique type of work around this region of Tokaji and giving a very precise and vibrant style to his wines. We have been working for some years in France and i am more than glad to bring his wines as a great image of the white wines from Hungary and specifically Tokaji to Portugal!
A history started in 1993 when Laura di Collobiano and Moreno Petrini buy the Estate in the north of Tuscany. This beautiful Terroir among the Hills of Lucca, belonging to the denomination Colline Luchesi, second denomination of Tuscany in 1968. The estate is a farm of 60ha among which 20ha of vineyards. Many different activities take place in Valgiano but focused mainly on the winemaking. Certified since 2000 in biodynamic viticulture, Valgiano, has been led by Laura and Saverio Petrili, his winemaking partner, from the beginning. The wines of Valgiano give out a clear image of the elegance and deepness of Tuscany with the aging potential of the best Terroirs in it.
Several generations installed since 1899 in Abruzzo. Between the Adriatic and the Appenine Mountains since 1964 Emidio Pepe decided to stop the volume sale of grapes and start his own company. Besides a strong vision, no oak in the winery, only cement glass lined vats, organic and biodynamic Viticulture practices, he decided to keep wine to age in bottle on the best vintages to accompany the aging bottle and release them with more time. A true pioneer in his region and maybe one of the strongest visionaries around. Today with a Worldwide reputation as Mr. Montepulciano, he is happily accompanied by his 2 daughters and his granddaughter to take care of the Azienda. Deep happiness and Joy to be able to work and represent Emidio Pepe's wines in Portugal since 2019!
